Please join your Hartford School Board, for it's regular "Community Engagement Meeting", to discuss possible changes in the Hartford school week. This meeting will be held virtually at the below link as well as in-person at the Superintendent's Office. Thank you!

Our teachers are working hard and are again asking the community to support them as we start our 3rd COVID winter. Our district is short staffed and our schools are feeling stressed. Our district is looking at options to reduce teacher burden and find more planning/review time while keeping kids healthy and engaged throughout the winter. To do this, the district is evaluating options for a reduced school day.

Please join us and share your thoughts about how we can support teacher needs (and morale!) while supporting households within the Hartford family. Our goal is to strike a balance between staff needs and family realities.  To do this, we hope to make our reduced school day as stress free as possible for Hartford families by providing alternate options for out-of-school times. Options might include expanding after school care, winter sports options, connecting with area nonprofits to offer weekly enrichment activities, or providing expanded transportation.

Looking forward to hearing your ideas and concerns.

Gratefully,

Your Hartford School Board
