First Grade

We are so excited to have you in first grade this year! We are going to have so much fun learning and growing together! Here are some of the fantastic things we will learn about in first grade:

I am thrilled to be teaching first grade again this year! I absolutely love first grade and am so excited to be one of your teachers! Looking forward to an amazing year of learning and growing together as a classroom community!

Outside of school I enjoy spending time hiking, camping, taking long walks and spending time with family, friends and my two sons Connor and Colby. I also enjoy cooking, baking and traveling.

I'm so excited to be teaching first grade again this year at OQS! This is my third full year at Ottauquechee as a classroom teacher. First grade is my favorite! We have so many exciting things to learn about this year like tools, birds, and the sun, moon, and stars. 

When I'm not at OQS, I enjoy spending time with my husband, my five kids: Elliott, Scarlett, Juliette, Emmett, and Everett; my dog, Dawn; our cats Squeegee and Biscuit, and our flock of chickens whose names I can't keep track of. I also enjoy baking, camping, hiking, and reading!

Welcome to 1st grade! I am excited for my tenth year at OQS. I live in the Hartford community with my husband, Doug, our two sons Douglas and Henry, and our dog, Benji.  Outside of school I enjoy watching my children in school events, hiking, reading, and camping.

Hello First Graders!

I am so happy to be a part of the first grade team this year.  I feel lucky to be able to work with all grade levels as a math interventionist.  I love the enthusiasm that I see each time I enter the first grade classrooms.  I can’t wait to see where our math paths take us.

When I’m not at OQS I love walking, working on puzzles, and spending time with my 5 grandchildren.

Hello New First Graders!  I am so delighted to be working with you as a reading interventionist this year! This will be my eighth year teaching at OQS.  I have certifications in special education and elementary education. 

Outside of school I love to read, make jewelry, travel and visit art museums.
