The purpose of the OQS PTO is to strengthen, enhance, and encourage an educational environment that provides support of the Ottauquechee School curriculum by sponsoring, organizing, and nurturing additional opportunities for parents, teachers, administration, and community to learn, socialize, and communicate to expand our student’s educational experience. ​

Examples of programming and events that the PTO fundraising supports include the following: ​

  • Mini-grants to enhance classroom curriculum (i.e. Field Trips, supplies for special activities)​
  • Scholarships and supplies for extracurricular activities including Garden Club, Baking Club, and the Newspaper Club​
  • Teacher Appreciation events​
  • Schoolwide support including items like Field Day T-Shirts & New Rollerblades for PE​.

 

How do you join the PTO? YOU DON’T HAVE TO :-) Every family is a member of our PTO. No sign-up or fee is required! Supporting the PTO can show up in many ways. You can volunteer your time, donate items for events or clubs, or attend PTO-sponsored events.   • The PTO meets the first Thursday of every month at 6:00pm in the school library. ​

In addition to seasonal fundraisers and events, we have ongoing programs that help raise funds simply by doing your regular shopping. ​
